GCSE and A Level Option Choices

Choosing GCSE and A Level options is a really exciting time in a student’s academic career but sometimes it can feel like a daunting prospect, both for pupils and parents! The GCSE process usually takes place in the Spring Term of Year 9 although some schools do start the process a little earlier. The A Level process runs from the Spring term of Year 11. As part of her role in a leading UK independent boarding school, Sarah has helped guide and coach over 600 pupils and their parents through the GCSE and A Levels options processes. She can provide an impartial perspective for individuals on suitable subject combinations, work load and balance, all with an observant eye on any future plans and aspirations students may have beyond their school careers. The world of university entrance is the exciting next step for Sixth Form pupils as they reach the end of their school careers and consider what lies ahead. Through 20 years in the education sector and having supported pupils through successful applications to UK universities as well as overseas institutions, Sarah can support with the UCAS application process: course suitability and selection, review of personal statements and interview preparation across a range of disciplines.
